It will feature the biggest purse in professional golf history, but what is the LIV Golf Invitational prize money breakdown?
The first seven tournaments of the Greg Norman-led golf tour each carry a prize pot of $25 million – $20 million for the individual event and $5 million for the team side of things. The eighth – the Team Championship – will carry a pot of $50 million.
The signing on fees to convince players to defect from the PGA Tour and DP World Tour are largely being kept under wraps, but if reports are to be believed, then Phil Mickelson is pocketing a cool $200 million, Dustin Johnson $125 million, and Bryson DeChambeau $100 million.
For context, Tiger Woods’ entire on-course career earnings are a little more than $120 million.
The likes of Ian Poulter, Lee Westwood and Sergio Garcia have also signed on for undisclosed fees.
