COMPTON, Calif. — The old cliche’ is true that when you get these summer All Star Games – or “Showcase Game” as it’s known here in the California Collegiate League – you never know what you’re gonna get.
The last two times I covered the CCL Showcase back in 2018 and 2016 it was all about offense. In ’18, the North routed the South team by a 10-2 score. In 2016 the South beat the North 10-9 (after the North missed the game-tying extra point).
